Pre-Conference Excursion (June 21)

BEER CIDER SPIRITS TOUR

One craft brewery! One craft cidery! One craft spirits distillery!
West Coast Brewery Tours

When: June 21, 12:00-4:00 pm
Pick up in front of the Hotel Grand Pacific at 12 noon sharp.

What: Full behind the scenes access and customized tour at a Cider Farm, Craft Brewery and Craft Distillery. All 3 locations are situated on the beautiful, scenic Saanich Peninsula (approximately 21km/13mi North of Victoria city).

Cost: Cost to conference attendees is $89, a discount of $25 per person off the regular cost of $114. Includes full transportation, numerous craft beverage libation samplings at all 3 locations, fully guided back of the house tour, history and informative introduction showcasing each unique brewing & distillation processes, light refreshments en route, commemorative tour group photo (digital) and Artisan Ploughman's lunch (cured meats, local cheeses, preserves, fresh baked bread & dips as well as a sweet treat to finish).

Scenic: The Saanich Peninsula is stunningly beautiful with its seaside views and winding back country roads. Relax and take in the scenery while enjoying full transportation between all 3 tranquil Peninsula locations. Over this four hour tour, you will be treated to plenty of delicious craft libations unique to each venue, private behind the scenes access and fully guided informative tour showcasing each venues individual processes & history.

How to Sign Up: You can sign up by selecting this excursion when you register. Space on the tour bus is limited to 16 participants, on a first come first serve basis. There is a possibility of adding another bus if a total of 22 people register by May 20. People wishing to participate should add the excursion to their registration to ensure a spot. The first 16 registered are guaranteed a spot. Those who register and are put on the wait list will be reimbursed fully if the extra numbers are not reached by May 20.

Post-Conference Excursion (June 23)

HISTORIC PUB WALK

Led by Dave Mason of Come See Victoria Guided Walking Tours

When: June 23, 6:00 pm
Pick up in front of the Hotel Grand Pacific at 6 pm

What: Downtown Victoria is both historic and walkable. It boasts a wonderful collection of vibrant pubs in some of the most notable heritage buildings in the city -- and a thriving craft beer industry. Learn about old Fort Victoria, the narrowest street in Canada, the surreal life story of the Legislature's architect, the old red light district's madams, the "leaning hotel of Victoria", rum runners...and lots more, all while enjoying award-winning local craft beers.

Cost: Cost to conference attendees is $29. Includes craft beer samplers (6 oz) at the first three stops. Folks will be able to order food at our third stop if desired.
