Eligibility
Membership in the Society is open to individuals interested in agricultural and resource economic issues.

Membership Duration & Rates
Membership in the CAES no longer runs on a calendar year basis but on a "roll-in" basis and lasts for one full year from date of payment of fees. For example, if you join/renew in March 2010, your membership will end March 2011.
Fees are as follows:
- Regular member: $125
- Senior/retired member: $65
- Student member: $65
Membership Services
CAES Membership is managed by Megram Consulting Services Ltd., an association management firm located in Renfrew, Ontario contracted by CAES to oversee membership services. Megram responds to all renewal and membership status queries by phone, fax or e-mail within 2 business days and is happy to assist you with any questions with respect to the status of your membership.

Membership Application/Renewal and Payment Options
You may join the CAES or renew your CAES membership one of in two ways: 1. securely online, or, 2. by sending a PDF application form and payment via regular mail or fax. Renewal notices are sent to members via email at 60, 30 and 14 days prior to your individual renewal deadline.
Option 1: Fill out, submit and pay online.
Applications are filled out and submitted electronically and payments made securely through PayPal. You will receive a receipt from Megram within two business days. Note that the online application will NOT be submitted to the CAES until payment has been finalized through PayPal. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please choose Option 2 below.

Option 2: Download a PDF form and mail or fax it with payment.
Please send your form and payment to: CAES Membership, 3-247 Barr Street, Renfrew, Ontario, K7V 1J6. Membership forms can also be emailed to caes at megram dot com or faxed to (613) 432-6840. Cheques should be provided in Canadian funds only, drawn on a Canadian bank and made payable to CAES.
Important Notes:
- Renewal notices will be sent from Meghan Howard (caes at megram dot com) and will have the word (bulk) in the subject line.
- If you sign up via the AAEA, please contact Valerie Johnson at the valcaes at telus dot netCanadian Agricultural Economics Society to inform us of your areas of interest/expertise, and, to indicate whether or not you would like to be included in the online membership directory in the members-only section of the CAES website (to be available Spring 2010).
On-line and Print Access to the CJAE
Members will continue to receive online access to the full text of CJAE via Wiley InterScience. Members receive access instructions by email (where available) as well as by a notice sent with each print issue. Print issues are received in the mail approximately 4 weeks after being published on-line.
Become Involved
The Canadian Agricultural Economics Society welcomes member involvement at several levels. Serving on the executive is a great way to help raise the profile of our Society and our discipline. At the same time it is an opportunity to work with some dynamic and forward looking people. Please consider serving on the executive or nominating a colleague.
President-Elect: A one-year term, the primary responsibility of the President-Elect is to organize a workshop for members. The President-Elect become President the following year.
Councillors: Three new Councillors are required each year. Councillors stand on or chair various committees.
